'net carbonzero Project' certification launched
A new certification called ‘net carbonzero Project’ is now available. Similar to our ‘net carbonzero Events’ certification it will be non-accredited and for one-off activities, like building fitouts, or small construction projects.
Crucially, organisations can also include the data from these projects in their own greenhouse gas inventory and Toitū certifications.

Should businesses be measuring the emissions associated with interior fitouts of office spaces?
Yes, businesses should be measuring the emissions associated with interior fitouts of office spaces. Interior fitouts of office spaces can have a significant impact on a company's carbon footprint, as they can involve energy-intensive processes such as lighting, heating, ventilation, air conditioning, and the installation of materials and furniture. By measuring the associated emissions of interior fitouts of office spaces, businesses can identify areas for improvement and take action to reduce their environmental impact. This can include selecting low-carbon materials, installing energy-efficient lighting, and implementing sustainable practices such as recycling and waste reduction. Overall, measuring the emissions associated with interior fitouts of office spaces is an essential step towards achieving sustainability goals and reducing a company's carbon footprint.
