Phantom Billstickers is New Zealand’s largest street poster company, printing and placing posters on behalf of brands and arts clients in over 6,500 frames around Aotearoa. Each of these sites is filled with a new poster every week, making Phantom one of the largest printers in the country.

When Phantom began operations in 1982, the poster medium was largely ‘organic’, with low-grade paper stock and homemade paste concocted from flour and water. As the industry has expanded and matured over the last four decades, synthetic solvents, inks and substrates have become commonplace. Concerned about its impact on the environment, Phantom is conscious of the need to operate more sustainably – and ultimately decarbonise its processes.
