AIA NZ is a leading life insurer with over 40 years’ experience in the New Zealand market. We are a wholly owned subsidiary of AIA Group, the largest independent publicly listed pan-Asian life insurance group which operate in 18 markets globally, with more than 34m individual policy holders and 160m group insurance scheme members.
With a unique customer value proposition focused on life, health and wellbeing, AIA New Zealand’s purpose is to make a difference in people’s lives. AIA NZ had an annual Insurance Revenue of NZ$951 million in 2023, protects over 800,000 New Zealanders through our Life, Trauma, Income protection, Total Permanent Disability (TPD) and Health insurance products. These products are distributed through intermediary channels including advisers (aligned and independent), our bank partner, and corporate schemes, and a new direct digital offering launched in 2022.
AIA NZ employs nearly 800 permanent and fixed term employees. The majority of staff are based at the Auckland head office, with smaller regional offices in Hamilton, Christchurch and Wellington.
