The Summerset Group builds, owns and operates retirement villages that provide quality retirement village living and aged care services to older New Zealanders. Our first village opened in 1997 in the river city of Whanganui. Since then we've grown to become one of the country's largest and most respected operators in the retirement village and aged care sector. We have 39 registered retirement villages around the country as well as future sites for development, offering fully independent living and a variety of care options. Around 8,000 New Zealanders have chosen to call our villages home, and the Summerset Group employs more than 2,800 staff.
